Can they get half of all the stages? Very unlikely, a third maybe?

Boardman says it was minor, it might of been that Froomey was avoiding a possible collision.
A smack next time maybe.
Punch on another rider would be very different.

Tommorows headline.

Froome thumps chicken..........your fined 200 euro's ................wish I'de hit him twice.

Knowing it was to be a "sprinters stage" today I was expecting the usual procession and final 20k lineout.
How wrong was that? :?
Mount Ventoux tomorrow.

The other GC contenders must be wondering what they have to do to overall Froomey, the quartet just rode away from them, there was three sprint trains trying drag them back without success,an incredible finale :D .

Hi,
Cut short today :o
https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2016/ ... ris-froome

http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/rac ... ned-259623

"With wind speeds reported of over 100km/h blowing on Mont Ventoux on Wednesday, Tour de France organiser ASO has reviewed the position of the finish line for Thursday’s stage.

A decision was made on Wednesday evening to relocate the finish line of stage 12 from the summit of Mont Ventoux to Chalet Reynard, six kilometres further down the mountain and below the protective cover of the tree line.

Race leader Chris Froome (Sky) thinks that the route revision won’t change the outcome of the stage: “I don’t think it changes too much. Another long stage tomorrow, a lot of wind, it could be split to pieces before the climb. I don’t know what will happen, we will see. It will be even more intense, if anything.”

"I was looking forward to doing it, but there are gale force winds,” continued Froome. “At the end of the day, it’s the best thing to do.

“It’s too bad for the show and for the fans that want to see it, but the safety of everyone is better. That’s the right decision. You can’t race in strong winds like that, at 120km/h an hour.”

Edited-
P.S. In my other vid of froomey punch, an aerial shot shows the flag the chicken was carrying snagged froomeys handle bars...............

Looks like they've given him Mollema's time....so he's still lost out as Mollema was slowed by the crash, and Yates won't get the yellow. Bet he'd have been happy to pay again to hit another spectator ;-)

They shortened the Ventoux route today by half (due to wind) and it led to overcrowding.

Kind of exciting but farcical at the same time.

As I understand it, ignoring Froomeys perambulating escapades, as the crash was within the last 3k he gets the winners time. I know people are going to be discussing this for a while though!
