10 and 25 Comp records beaten.

Post by TrevA »

Marcin Bialoblocki did 16.35 for the 10 record on the Hull course yesterday, then backed it up with a 44.04 in the Port Talbot Whs 25 today to take the 25 record.

The 10 record is over 36 mph average!

Also, the women's 10 record was broken in the same event at Hull - Anna Turvey 19.08.

I was at today's event, in fact I handed him his prize money!

Before the event started, I heard about his incredible 10-mile record yesterday but didn't think it was on for him today what with travelling and it not really being a float day. Amazing!

There was quite a strong wind over in West Wales today. Did that help his time at all?

Not on an out and back course although one direction is a bit longer than the other. The wind was a lot calmer in the Neath Valley but nowhere near a float day.

Average over 36mph. That means doing nearly constant 40 mph for the course.
I can't even reach 36 mph - except downhill. :(
You'll never know if you don't try it.
