London 6 Day

Post by landsurfer »

Brilliant coverage. Amazing racing.
I hope Brian Cookson is watching what Derny racing should be.
Not the sanitized, pathetic, spectacle free, electric nonsense we saw in Rio.
Watching a classic Derny lapping Mallory Park in July during the classic motorcycle weekend was great as well.

I have not been to a 6 Day since about 1988, in Ghent. I went to a couple of Skol sixes in London in the late 60s early 70s. Unfortunately the London 6 is a bit far away and inconvenient these days. I agree about the electric "Derny", but how about a return to "real" motor pacing. Note that this picture is comparatively recent, spot the carbon wheel. I think it was the motorcycle's last outing at Herne Hill (I think) about 5 years or so ago.
