Hi,
Yesterday best man on bike Roglic, his TT skills came in as he left the bunch.
Debs predictions are accurate.
The course has very steep climbs albeit short, but a mechanical could let someone down chain snapping / unshipping......
TdMn complained at not staying catching Roglic near end on flat, we did not see it but I am sure the TDF officials will scan the vids.....

I wonder if there will be any positive political and social impacts following up to having a Welshman win the TdF ?
It's obviously an attraction to the younger Welsh generation into becoming cyclists, and perhaps getting involved in cycle sport.
Will the Welsh Gov spend more money on supporting cycling?
What would be the best way to spend it?
More cycle lanes?
More cycle racing on public roads?
Velodrome in Cardiff
Training camps in sunny Llandudno?

Up and down the Great Orme a few times, that should sort the sheep from the goats, supper at witherspoons or the North Staffordshire Oatcake Parlour
Does make one a bit proud and smug about being half Welsh, certainly
Remember that Sir David of team ski lived in Deiniolen and speaks Welsh

Whatever was decided there'd be large degree of opposition to it by the motoring lobby, particularly if it involves riding on the(ir) roads

My Welshness is several generations back on both sides of the family but I still hail a great British success 2 spots on the podium by a British team with British riders.
Funny how all the absent nationalists start shouting about any success?
Good on yer G, well deserved.

"Good on yer G, well deserved." Just so - and worked at it for many years.
Let's see now, my mum was born and raised in Cardiff and my dad was ditto South Shields but his parents were Welsh speakers from N Wales, so that makes me....oh yes - I'm from Stockport!

The last stage looks good fun, no real racing, drinking champagne
May anyone ride along?
How slow do they go?
Worth remembering when English-SPEAKING riders started winning the TdF, Lemond, Roche..
Maybe one day an English-born rider will win

Don't know if this counts as a "velodrome" but it has been in north Cardiff since the 1920s.

And this indoor velodrome fifteen miles down the road in Newport.

Surprised Moscon didn't get the "super combativity" award...
Often seen riding a bike around Dundee...
Re: 2018 Tour De France (Spoilers)
I haven't stopped smiling since seeing GT safely cross the line today and he can be allowed being very emotional in his post-race interviews.
Kudos to Froome for getting back on the podium.
