There used to be a Mansfield-based club called Forest Amateur Racing Team (FART).

My son raced for a club called the Racing All Terrain Squad (RATS).

Godiva CC definitely an old Coventry Club from the days when nearly every factory had a cycling club... thinking of Alfred Herbert Cycling Club..... amalgamations of Alfred Herbert and the CTC racing off shoot the Coventry Road Club led to the formation of Coventry Road Club with many of the AH cycle trophies still awarded today. Later on Godiva also amalgamated with and became part of the CRC, many of their life members becoming life members of CRC.

I follow a You tuber who is a member of Bynea CC (Ed Laverack) and it's interesting to hear the pronunciation. I would have thought it was Bye-Knee, but it is actually pronounced Bin-Yer.

Or Bin-ea?

No, Bin-Yer, or perhaps Bin-Ear as confirmed by one of their members.

A couple round the corner from me, in Leicester, used to run the Taurus Cycling Club. As far as I can make out it was mainly Sunday runs and touring trips.
