Criterium Du Dauphiné
Hi,
Just been watching the time trial 10 mile.
Porte is doing well, Froome is gritting his teeth, supposedly with something to prove.
Thomas Was behind Porte.
A tricky time trial with lots of bends and some uphills to I think, some of the mountain climbers were beating the favourite time trialist.
Froome was two minutes off the pace.
Thomas is supposedly a favourite to win The stage and the race out right?

Re: Criterium Du Daulphine
Geraint Thomas took a brilliant opportunistic win, and a 10 sec bonus, in yesterday's stage. Some compensation for his disappointment in the TT.
Highlights on ITV4 follow the Tennis at 10pm but are usually available to watch a couple of hours earlier on the ITV Hub.

Re: Criterium Du Daulphine
Thomas should come into his own on the last two stages in the mountains. He's only a handful of seconds off the leader so I shouldn't think he's panicking.
Froome is doing so well in his recovery but I can't see him getting back to GT winning fitness and form as time and age aren't on his side. You have to respect the bloke for not giving in though. For me he has absolutely nothing to prove and it's good to see him in the Peloton.

Blinder by Thomas............but don't look behind!
Half a bikes wheel huh.
Race includes another 57K of TT, that will mix it up some.

Hi,
Must be an oldie thing
I am sure I heard the commentator say something to that effect
Edited –
3 1/2 minutes in of stage five (the day after the time trial) on ITV4.
The commentator says "with a much more 58 km of time trial this year, You can see why they are picking over the results of the 16 km ".
I was doing something else when I heard it and even then I thought myself they've got a long time trial coming up because I'm really looked at the stages either.
Its old fogey moment in it

Hi,
Talking of senior moments.
I see is a lot of top-class riders in the ride, Which makes it very competitive, even if some of them are coming to the end of their career.
Lots of new names to go on I don't know half of them for sure.

Re: Criterium Du Daulphine
I thought that the final climb today was fantastic racing. Lots of chancers and aggression.
I'll not give anything away about results but I want to mention that I really enjoyed watching Ritchie Porte's ride. He's a rider I've watched for many years and have pictures I've taken of him riding for Saxo Bank through the fells around Lancaster more than a decade ago in the Tour of Britain. Lots of moves to be made even as the race comes to its conclusion. I'm enjoying that the strongest riders don't appear to be the favourites.

Hi,
It must be me, I can't find the cycling on the ITV Hub?
I didn't tape last night so the only way I'm watching it is on the Freeview catch up guide on my TV box.
How's everybody Watching it?

Re: Criterium Du Daulphine
Hi,
I've looked several times on the ITV Hub and you can't even find it in a search or find a program on the cycling or anything whatsoever so I don't know what they're playing at the moment because it's impossible to find.
If you look under the sports heading all you end up with is popular sports?
There is no option in the filter to select all sports.

This worked for me.
Found this by searching Criterium Du Dauphine ( no "L" in Dauphine )
https://www.itv.com/itvcycling/articles ... ne-on-itv4
There is a link at the end of the 4th row.

Hi,
I couldn't find it on the app at all.
I was going to look on the website which is probably where you've posted it exists.
I'll have a look in a bit but I've been outside and I've been for a walk so I'm not time to look yet but thanks

Much easier to read about it on the web.
