Paris Roubaix
Paris Roubaix
Looks to be a very wet and windy day for both men and women's races today and tomorrow.
Will anyone else be watching it on Eurosport?
IMO it's one of the best races of the season.

I don't subscribe to Eurosport so may have to wait until it's posted to U tube. I think the girls have drawn the short straw, must be akin to mud wrestling looking at the weather forecast. Sunday's looking dryer for the men but it's building to an exciting race for both days.

There's a short piece about this in today's Daily Telegraph including a pic of Marianne Vos posing in the notorious showers at the Roubaix velodrome

Fabulous effort.
Almost all the cycling from lovely spots through the season makes me think "ooh, I quite fancy going there/doing that". Watching this couldn't have put me off Hauts-de-France more...!

Re: Paris Roubaix
Great ride from Lizzie. Attacking so far out and holding off Vos at the end was a wonderful effort. Winning the Tour of Britain looks on the cards.
Re: Paris Roubaix
I rode the course on quite a nice June day ... I certainly wouldn't ride there for the scenery!
(It was also raaaather bumpy :-\ )
Re: Paris Roubaix
In all seriousness, I'd be surprised if half the bits on my bike stayed attached. Not to mention the damage to my (not the bike's) elderly frame.

Re: Paris Roubaix
Sadly, Annemiek van Vleuten's 38-year-old frame broke a hip and a shoulder (as far as is known). Ellen van Dijk suffered a heavy fall on the cobbles and may have concussion - she doesn't remember the fall, apparently.
