SPOILERS 2013 TDF

Post by NUKe »

As Froome Dog is not a spoiler thread as Si pointed out lets discuss it here.

Well done to Cav most road stages ever and an unusal win for him. first everfrom a break.

And suddenly GC is interesting again.

I don't know what Froome was messing about at. He was on Cav's wheel when Cav jumped across to the break, but Froome started looking around to see where his team mates were and let the break go and get a minute lead.

Well done to Cav and his team and also to Bertie and the Belkin boys for exploiting the situation to their advantage.

Oh my goodness - what has Froome just done to the field up that little slope they call Mt Ventoux?

Seriously good work by team sky and Froome.
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.
There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.

It rhymes with "zoom". And the photo on the Grauniad's live coverage shows just how steep the stage can get. Amazing stuff.

Tis steep to be sure, but not quite as steep as the photo suggests, else the architect of the buildings, top left, needs shooting!

About 10% at the top with an overall average of about 8%.
21 Kms (13 miles) constant climbing.
A bit boring, eh what?

Glad to know that. You never do with UK names: it could as easily rhyme with Featherstonehaugh.

Did anyone else watching itv4 notice that Chris Froome had, what I take to be, his little brother 'Richie Froome' helping him for much of the climb?

So my hearing wasn't playing tricks then. There were a few up-mixes in the commentary. :?
