Not sure which thread to put this great story in. Is it racing or is it on the road? or should it come under cycling philosophy and reside in the tea shop? Whatever... It's a hoot of a story.

The 66yr old who won a 1000 mile bike race.

Love it! He's even got a kickstand on his bike, as well as panniers.

Audax had 326 Super Randoneurs last year (riding a 200, 300, 400 and 600k ride).
22 of them were over 65.
I bet there was a similar ratio on Paris-Brest 1200k and LEL 1400k
The times would have to be around the same (pro-rata) as his to qualify.
So he isnt unique in long distance cycling at that age.
