It is the chair who signs the minutes, i was at the meeting who approved them. In future I will not approve any minutes for any meeting which is record and a transcript produced. this is to protect me from suggestion of telling untruths or misleading statements

Midweek Wayfarers CTC have read the rules but appear to have rejected the rebrand .

I expect there are other examples out there.

Here is an example: This member group have always had their own website. They weren't hosted by the CTC server. The CTC group list directed to that website. Now it doesn't go there. This is the link from the CUK website:

From which the groups own website is linked via a magenta button, Visit South Manchester website.

Their "cycling links" page displays the Cycling UK logo.

Yes gaz, I've seen that. The reason for my post was that the link previously went to the South Manchester CTC website directly. I can understand the seemingly ,"home page" of a group being a CUK page if it is hosted by CUK. The example of Blackburn and District CTC is a case in point. But when the link used to go direct to ythre group website it dseems that CUK have decided they need to be involved too, even though the person following the link has arrived there via the CUK website.

Of course South Manchester CTC may have sanctioned this or even designed the page themselves. I await their view on it. As the post above features a site which still has a direct link that's possible.

It seems that if you put CTC Cornwall into your browser you get the group website. If you follow the link from the CUK site you get the CUK middleman page.

My member group listing has always gone to a page, which we have the option to edit and from there a link to our own website. The "branding" of the page has changed, but the content (Photos, text and contact details) remain the same. We've never had the option to go straight from the list to our own website, I'm surprised other groups have.

So these groups have the option to edit that page then.

Yes, I do it for my group. I can't change the branding! But all our groups content is our own. If we didn't have our own website we could also add pages from that one.

I just heard from the website guy at South Manchester CTC. He had seen it and seems aware that they have no choice on this.
