I make mine with less water so it cools to thick cake-this can be cut into slabs and fried .Can be served as a party of cooked breakfast or eaten by itself.Same with oatmeal.Best to use jumbo oats.

Porridge? A grey, viscous substance, more suitable for cows. But rather like the dried bean soup and bean curry, it helps me stop eating . It only takes 4-5 days on animal feed and the desire to eat and weight drops off (Nb. 4th week on the autumn slim down!)

It's a winter thing for me. With hot milk, honey and raisins. It's the ultimate breakfast in my view!

1. Porridge
2. Hot milk

Raisins are lovely, so don't ruin them.

For me it’s a ‘love / hate’ relationship. It’s a bit of a chore to eat it, but it’s fantastic fuel.

It's more of a hate/hate relationship with me.I can never stomach enough to make it decent fuel :?
I've tried it with almost everything and it's just hideous stuff.

Yesterday I did not have porridge for breakfast!

I has made a big bowl of rice Sunday, so I had that instead, really fills one up for a few hours

I think I shall try rice porridge
