For some reason Diabetes UK thinks there is sugar in yoghurt. And not just cheap ones.

So Diabetes UK says

"As a general rule, in any 100g of yogurt, the first 5g of sugar listed is the milk sugar (lactose) found naturally in the milk used to make the yogurt. Lactose is not a 'free sugar'."

And the product I linked to says carbs are 3% of which all are sugar. The don't list sugar as an added ingredient meaning this 3% is the lactose which is naturally occuring.

If you compare this to the 5% fat version sugar content is the same at 3%.

The Yonken set yoghurt is 3.4% sugars.

Food labelling is a nightmare.

I have a modest appetite these days!

Yes, I am gradually eating less as well. And currently being very, very careful how much fat I consume as well since I am waiting for an Angiogram :(, and would rather ward off any further problems.

Examine the content of most foods produced by the large industrial factories, and you will surprised, disappointed and maybe even confused by what you learn is in them... dairy especially. See here for details.
