Echo W1 computer fault?

Post by johnmac »

This, since I changed the battery, is over reading by at least 50 %. The wheel size is set correctly at c2155 (700x32) and I know the fault is not being generated by the magnet or the sender - transferred it to another bike with the same computer and proved that the fault is in the display unit. This seems a bizarre fault to have, as electronics usually either work or not, but to have a gross error like this seems unlikely. Should I give up and throw it in the bin?

maybe try another battery of different make - I can't see how this would make a difference, but as you say the fault is bizarre anyway!

Some computers need a different "wheel setting" if using Miles.
My Sigma 1600 has a wheel setting (700x32) of 2124 for Km/h but needs 1350 for MPH. :?
I don't know if yours does as most computers just need the one wheel setting no matter if in Km or miles.
You'll never know if you don't try it.
