Disc brake clearance

Post by Zimba »

Recently fitted a new Avid rotor to my centre lock wheel and it seems a bit more meaty at the centre lock. This means the whole disc sits proud on the centre lock now by about 1mm. Therotor only clears the fork blade by about 1.75mm now. Is this enough?

it is if the rotor is true - i have similar clearances at both ends of my disc equipped bike.
Convention? what's that then?

Mine is quite close as well, though I haven't measure the gap. I wouldn't worry.
