Disc brake clearance
Disc brake clearance
Recently fitted a new Avid rotor to my centre lock wheel and it seems a bit more meaty at the centre lock. This means the whole disc sits proud on the centre lock now by about 1mm. Therotor only clears the fork blade by about 1.75mm now. Is this enough?
Re: Disc brake clearance
it is if the rotor is true - i have similar clearances at both ends of my disc equipped bike.
Convention? what's that then?

Re: Disc brake clearance
yeah, that should be enough, plenty of bikes have about that amount of clearance.

Re: Disc brake clearance
Mine is quite close as well, though I haven't measure the gap. I wouldn't worry.
