Rigid fork for a 2009 Orange P7

Post by blacktriangle »

Hi,

I'm trying to convert my 2009 Orange P7 into a commuter/tourer, and I am struggling to find a suitable rigid fork.

Orange have stopped selling the forks they used to make (How I wish I had bought one), and a suitable replacement of a Kona Project 2 Disc seems hard to find.

Orange said the max fork the geometry is designed for is 140mm...

Any suggestions on a fork I could find easily? (preferable one with a hole for a mudguard, will need a disc mount).

Many thanks

Will any of the forks available from planet-x fit?

It is probably worth having a look at the forks made by Surly - they do some suspension corrected forks and one of them might be suitable.

Possibly not the sort of thing you are looking for but carbon cycles have a good range of forks, in guess what.... carbon. Also worth looking at picasia, who is an ebay seller in Taiwan. I bought a carbon fork from them, good fork and service. They also sell alloy forks.
When I did this to my rockhopper, I did find a suspension corrected Surly fork that would have fitted. HTH
