Hi All
I have an old bike which I hope to improve by buying a quality frame. However, most newer frames require 700C sized wheels and I have alloy 27" wheels.
Q: Can I use the 27" wheels on a frame designed for 700C ones. If so are there any nasty surprises in store?
Appreciate any advice.
Cheers

Re:27" v 700C Wheels
27" wheels are 4mm bigger in radius than 700c, so you'll loose than much clearance from whatever the new frame has.
If it's standard road bike clearance (ie 49mm drop dual pivot brakes), you will probably not be able to run mudguards (certainly not on a tyre bigger than 23mm, and probably not even that big).
