It's a new hire bike in Shanghai/Singapore.

Bit short on technical info, but 'features' include:
Solid tyres
Shaft drive
No docking stations - leave it anywhere
Lock with GPS and mobile network connection (which tells the system where you've left it when you lock it).
Non-adjustable saddle with position that looks uncomfortable whatever your height.
Designed to be maintenance free for 4 years.
Ridiculously cheap to hire - about 12p/half hour.
It must be hideously uncomfortable - all the video shows people standing on the pedals to ride it.
Can't see it working myself - if it's the least bit usable, surely they'll all get nicked.
Bike that's maintenance free for 4 years?

It only has to be better than walking. You could probably put up with one for a mile possibly even two, Singapore isnt very big.

According to Wiki, it's 31miles east to west, and 16miles north to south.meic wrote: ........... Singapore isnt very big.
I've cycled there extensively.
The young lady with the blue trousers looks quite comfortable.
