Triple butted aluminum frame is it any good?

Post by SpannerGeek »

I just bought a triple butted Ridgeway 6061 frame, no forks. Came cheap, has full disc mounts, 700C and a nice gusset under the down tube for strength. With headset/hanger/bolts it's just over 1600gr. Is this any good for a disc frame, the quality and the paint finish seem bang on.

WHYTE bikes have a good reputation , hydraulically formed frame tubes undergo less stress than swaged tubes, should be top quality kit ...

Sometimes very difficult to get a correct fitting fork if integrated style. The dia of the crown invariably does not match the OD of the head tube (at the bottom).
I should coco.
