Aero Bike help

Post by l.cara »

Hi Guy's.

I have been saving for the last few months for an Aero style Road bike and wondered if anyone can help me.

I have my eye on 3 bikes at the min. all 3 are priced very closely at around £1300 second hand.

Firstly i can buy a Giant Propel 1 with Full Ultegra and Giant PSLR carbon wheels. plus spare winter wheels

Secondly i can buy a Specialized Venge 2012 With full 105 and American Classic 58 carbon clincher wheels.

Lastly i can buy a Orbea Orca Silver 2012/3 again with 105 and Fast forward Carbon wheels. plus spare basic winter wheels

All 3 are around the same price range and i have been torturing myself for about a week deciding.

Has anyone got any input for me ? i'm not looking for a climbing bike as tipping the scales at 58kg i already have a big advantage over my much heavier cycling friends.

can you get to ride them? Best way to make a decision. These sorts of bikes are so specialised and so individual in their set-up. You aresort of on your own when it comes to a decision, You haven't said why you want it? TT, road racing, they certainly aren't a touring machines, they aren't very good as a general machine either.

can't answer your question, but THIS looks like an aero bargain worth considering too?
