I have no need of it for its original purpose but cannot help but feel that it must have some other use on a bike.

I write this as someone who has sorted a cable rub issue on a round town bike with tubing sold as oven wire shelf edging. (with the added benefit that it makes the bike look cranky/less nickable)

But I know you folks are masters and mistresses of invention ...
