Ortlieb Panniers

Post by cooper_coleraine »

I bought pair of ortlieb classic front panniers last year. They came with grey plastic inserts to use when fitting onto slim rails,e.g. Jim Blackburn rack. I used these, but I now want to use the panniers on another rack withas thicker rails. How do I take the inserts out?
Has anyone dealt with this problem?
Thanks

Finger and thumb job. That works for me but you could try gently unclicking them with a blunt knife from the cutlery drawer. Or a screwdriver to stay out of trouble.

Had the same issue. I used a wide flat head screwdriver and pried it under the front piece because that is where the locking tab should be. Good luck
I wish it were as easy as riding a bike

I find a firm grip and twist works well
Convention? what's that then?
