I've always found the one problem with crimping cables to connectors, is that often the wire is way too small for the connector. This results in the need for crimping too much on the connector, and still having a job that's not great. In those cases, is good to double the wire inside the crimping area.
As long as that crimping area is sufficiently full, a pair of high-leverage pliers can do the job with 2-3 pass operation, to simply squash the crimping area flat is not enough, but with some fettling it can be done in a pinch
It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best,
since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them.
Thus you remember them as they actually are...
