Flat bar conversion?

Post by Cyclespirit77 »

Hi.
I'm looking at a flat bar conversion for my Giant Defy Advanced and need to know about hydraulic brake compatibility.
I know the 11 speed 105 drive train can be sorted with the sl-rs700 shifters, it's the brakes I need to understand.

I have the rs505 hydraulic set up with flat mount calipers. Will I be able to use MTB XT M8000 brake levers with these calipers???

thanks

my understanding is that the answer is 'yes' because the pistons in the respective brake calipers are the same size.

cheers
