Secula light - seatpost to mudguard mount

Post by lasyrabbit »

I currently use the Secula rear dynamo light mounted to my seatpost (the one with the loop & cable tie) but I would like to mount it instead on my mudguard.

Is it possible to use the same light and convert the mount or do I have to buy the other version?

I think it has a different mount for seatstay or mudguard. I am not 100% sure of this and base my assumption on the fact that Spa Cycles sell the product with the option of either seatstay/mudguard mount. I fitted the seatstay light a couple of months ago and cannot recall it lending itself to simple mudguard mounting. I could well be wrong, all the best,

I have the mudguard version, it is shaped to fit onto the rear mudguard and uses a nut and bolt to secure it. I can’t see how it can have the same back as the seat post version so I suspect they are different models. SJS certainly sell them.

I've got both. They're different.
