Oooh... It does look pretty.

I can imagine that there are a fair few rich folk who would like this. £400 is a lot of money... but... think about the money people spend on cars. In comparison, it looks like a pretty sensible purchase!

Anyway, I'm more than happy with my £40 aluminium rack that can support 50kg.

As someone who sees a rack as a sacrificial thing to lean against a rough wall and keep the bike's paintwork safe I would have to learn new ways with that thing.

It strikes me that it isn't actually saving all that much weight compared to a more versatile steel rack with a top for putting rack top bags on. A bit of weight saved but at the expense of function.

And it is as ugly as a very ugly thing.

That only gets you the rack and fittings, it doesn't get you the bags, with bags it's £399. If you got in on the super early bird funding the price was at least somewhat reasonable for what you were getting, now it's just silly.

Doesn't look pretty, doesn't make up for it by looking functional.

Some minimalist Tubus racks have lower claimed weights and the same (steel Fly classic) or greater (titanium Airy) load rating.

Since there’re nothing to stop the panniers rotating in yaw on this rack, the panniers themselves need internal stiffening (or you have to add weight with the extra-cost “Boosters” to attach regular panniers). So the proprietary panniers are about the same weight as heavyweight cotton duck panniers despite, I’m sure, every effort having been made to keep them light.

Style over function and still ugly. But I guess it would suit a fat-tubed, murdered-out, carbon road bike in that awful frying-pan matte black that’s popular at the moment.

I’ll take functional elegance all the same.

TBH I think this piece of "kit"(searching for a more meaningful term to describe it :? ),shows exactly what's wrong in cycle marketing today and poor design.
It's a polished turd with about as much use, the worst thing being people will buy it! .

The website is a good example of fluent bullocks though.
