There is an APB Moulton on sale on this site

(no relation to me, I just saw it and did check my bank balance)

Hi steady eddy,

Following on from the messages above regarding people building step through frames I was going to mention Beaumont Bicycles but then I saw that Tao has already mentioned them.

Another one to consider might be Temple Cycles ( https://www.templecycles.co.uk/ ) because I think that they do some step through frames.

Mrs H got a "ladies lightweight" off them last year. Classic design ladies frame with 1x9 gears. I don't know how it would handle with a full load (it has so far only been used with a wicker basket on the front :D ) but it has the fixings for both front & rear racks. Also enough clearance to fit 38mm tyres (I've got a stock of Vittoria Voyager Hypers).

Another step-through to consider, which I came across recently. German built steel, available from a UK supplier & apparently a capable loaded tourer so is likely to be stiff though it's not particularly light. I haven't pursued it further so this isn't a recommendation. Interesting though?

I liked the look of both, they certainly fulfil the high end criteria, I'm not in the market for either but if I was it'd be hard not to be swept up with Liz Colebrook's enthusiasm.
As a left field suggestion - Have you considered an Airnimal? I'm on my second Joey having regretted selling the first, I haven't yet been touring on it, though it's happy enough with my 95kg and a couple of panniers of shopping. Mine is used as a guest bike, the last one was ridden by at least five friends/relatives who found not having a bike with them was no excuse for not coming on a ride, they all liked it (Or at least said so)

Others have mentioned the Moulton and I would just add that my wife rides her Moulton daily. I also have one amongst my many bikes and love riding it. There's no other bike I can think of that will combine a low step over height, stiffness and comfort that the Moulton affords. Whether or not a Moulton is within the budget of the OP I don't know but it it is he should seriously consider one.

I have both a mixte framed 531 Raleigh and a Moulton APB. TBH I prefer the Raleigh in spite of the lack of lateral stiffness - it is lighter and rolls better. I find I can adopt a riding style that eliminates a lot of the flexing. Remember, Anne Mustoe accomplished her world tours on fully loaded mixte framed Condor. They no longer list the mixte frame on their web site, but this looks very nice.
