I wonder if they would collect it, or meet me half way?
It's a long drive just to take a bike.

I could ride it there, and they could pay for my train home?

Museums often get donations and have duplicates they would want to get rid of
You could swap it for an ordinary and ride home on that

Do trains still stop at Llandrindod Wells? Or do they go non-stop from Gorseinon to Knucklas?

Trains do indeed stop at 'Dod, or you could fly into Llandegley International Airport; terminal five.

Mentioned the RSW16 and Llandrindod to Mrs Mick F yesterday and how we could drive up there and deliver the bike, and have a day or two away.

She liked the idea, so maybe I should contact the Museum and ask if they want the bike.
Maybe they do, or maybe they don't, but unless I ask, we won't know.

I'll email them soon.

Just given them a message via the Contact Us link quoting our email address.
Asked them is they want the bike, and that we're prepared to donate it to them.

All organised.
Going up there on Monday. Three or four hour drive.
We're staying overnight at the Montpellier Hotel on Temple Street. All booked and dropping the RSW16 off on the Tuesday morning. They are expecting us.
Driving back south Tuesday afternoon.

This is actually killing three birds with one stone.
Mrs Mick F fancies a night away somewhere, we're giving away the RSW16 to a worthy cause, and we're putting the dog in kennels for the first time. Sooner he gets used to it, the better.

May leave the car at the hotel and walk to the museum wheeling the bike as it's only a few hundred yards. May even ride it there with Mrs Mick F perched on the back! We used to do that in the old days on my old Raleigh. :D

Thanks for the warning, Phil.
What was wrong?
I see it gets mixed reviews.

It looks nice on the website!

Whatever, we're still going, and it's only one night and a breakfast. Won't be there until teatime, and we'll be away heading south before lunchtime.

We will look carefully!
Neither of us are backward in complaining, so they won't get the better of us.

Should be able to do this.
Not too sure how long we can tarry in the town and museum though.
It's only a flying visit, and I'll be fretting to get home to collect Sailor Dog from his "prison" kennels. Fingers crossed, he'll be fine, and we the know the lady who runs the kennels very well. Been using her for years for the cat and the parrot!

Cats will be fed by a neighbour whilst we're away this time .................and the parrot can look after herself!

RSW16 is now all in one piece, checked out, tyres nice and hard (40psi) and the gears and dynamo work well, as do the brakes .......... for chrome wheels of course.

Last portrait of it here in Cornwall. Next time the public will see it, it will be in Wales.
