I've had success with the following technique when applying adhesive tape and decals:-


Before you apply the tape spray the area with water to which has been added a drop or two of wetting agent. This allows you to slide the tape around to get the position spot on. Use a credit card or similar to work any air bubbles towards the edge. When you're satisfied leave it 24hr to allow the water to evaporate.

The Invisiframe instruction video is very good at showing the technique for fitting, whether it's an Invisiframe kit or just plain tape, and includes some other very useful tips:

If, after fitting the tape and allowing the water used in placing the tape to evaporate, there are any small air bubbles trapped under the tape, you can use a pin to prick a hole to allow the air to escape and smooth down the bubble.
