Ceramic speed drive train

Post by [XAP]Bob »

What does everyone else think about this?

99% efficient drive train, looks pretty neat to me
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.
There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.

Not seeing a link?

Edit: Found it in a search engine. Looks amazing, but I can't see how gear changes are achieved. How does the pinion engage with the chosen gear on the rear cassette? Does the pinion move axially and the PCD of the drive bearings alter?

In any case, the bearings are very exposed and, ceramic or not, would be magnets for dust and grit, wouldn't they?
