Spa Nidd Saddle - broken tension bolt

Hi

I've broken the tensioning bolt on my Spa Nidd leather saddle after almost 4 years of hard use.
I've checked the Spa cycles web site and replacement bolts aren't listed. I've emailed Spa, but in the meantime does anyone know of and tried an alternative tat fits? A Brooks bolt perhaps?

Is it literally the bolt that has broken or the nose piece that holds the bolt?



Spa relaced three Nidds for me following the above failure. Thread on fitting a Brooks nose-piece.

If it's just the bolt send a PM, I'll post you the one pictured above.

Yes, it is just the bolt as I can see it move. That would be very kind and appreciated. I'll PM my details

I actually broke the one in my 25yr old Brooks Team Professional last year, and fitted a new one, so know what's involved

For the benefit of anyone stumbling across this thread: Spa will sell you the spare bits of their leather saddles separately. Give them a ring.

Spa sent me a new front clamp (the bit the bolt screws into) when mine snapped, for free.

Unfortunately, a year later, a rivet pulled through too and that was it.

rivets can be replaced too
