Hi,
I currently have a Btwin Triban 500 FB.
It's nice, but it has 23mm tyres and I can't fit larger ones without removing my mudguards.
I can't handle 23mms on canal paths so I would like a bike that can fit 28 or even 32mm tyres whilst still having full length mudguards.
Looking for:
Still 'sporty' and light (current bike is 12kg) but does not force a super aggressive position.
At least the gear range my current bike has (14-28) (48/38/28)
Pannier mounts would be a plus but not required.
Under £250 used
Model no more than 5 years old.
I'll be using it for a 30 min commute on most days, but the odd 3+ hr rides.
I'm thinking cx bikes allow larger tyres but they're very expensive.
Any model suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Used bike suggestion
I went into Decathlon the other day. Their Triban 100 seemed exceptionally good for the money. Very well designed, and quite lightweight.

Looks decent but it only has 7 gears with a smaller range than I would like.
