I found them a bit reluctant to operate a tiagra triple front mech so use a campg mech to work at the front - the length of the lever arm on the Shimano front mech is less than the campag one. Others have managed to get some Shimano front mechs to work ok.

Pic would be nice when you have a minute. I don't have a Deore mech yet but have a couple of rear mechs, Sram, Tiagra, Sora etc I could try first.

shimano 9s and 10s do not have the same spacing
cheers

Campag 10 ergo levers + Campag 9/10 rear mech + Shimano 9s hub/cassette = works very well

I use this combination on my three bikes to good effect.

That sounds like an option. I could lower the gearing that way.

Yes. I use 10 speed Veloce shifters with a ultegra 10 speed cassette using a jtek shiftmate. It works well and was easy to set up. Just make sure that you buy the correct one, they make several different ones. I use a campag centaur triple chainset with a race triple front changer and a xenon rear changer. Hope this was of some help.

I've obtained a secondhand Jtek 1 from ebay. Expensive new! Anyway, I'm unsure how to fit it. Googling and youtube have yielded no results on fitting. I wonder if anybody out there knows or knows where I can find some instructions.
Thanks.
