I've tried a lot of things, including the Screwfix degreaser. It works but it's not miracle stuff.

But I've got some of this and closest thing to miracle stuff it is, spray it onto one of their chain cleaning sponges, run the chain through the sponge, leave it to work, rinse off with soapy water and hey presto shiny chain. I've only used it in situ, but next time I'm going to take the chain off and sit it in a tub and spray it and let it soak in properly.

Never had a cassette come up so shiny and as new, but this stuff worked, even better than any other degreaser

Stop drinking it and sanity resumes quite quickly, though dont use the toilet for a day or two as it's bad for the drains I believe
