Carrera Subway - proper mudguards?

Post by steveparry »

I have an old ie V-brakes model and would like to fit some mudguards that properly cover both wheels as opposed to the mtb type that would appear to offer very little protection. Any pointers? Thanks, Steve

if you have 26" (559) wheels this sort of thing might work for you

There are (or have been) deeply valanced mudguards (some in stainless steel) which offer the best protection, but these are not easy to find, or are expensive when you do.

cheers

I just checked they're 26" tyres 40mm width. There are mudguard eyes too. The Blackburns look good. I'd have to source some nuts and bolts to secure them where the brake callipers would normally be.
