only reason for choosing microshift over DA is that there is a friction option in some Microshift 10s RH shifters and in DA there isn't. However IMHO this system is inherently flawed in that the cable pull per shift is tiny; regardless of shifter type it is more sensitive to cable problems than any other indexed shifting arrangement.
If you want the least faffing then a 10s XT mech and microshift shifters might be a better choice; nice long cable pull is inherently resistant to cable problems. Same goes for SRAM and Microshift shifters.

I agree with Bruceys's logic. You would also be able to choose an 11 speed setup if you were prepared to additionally swap the cassette (and possibly chain). I have pasted the 10 and 11 speed "mtb ratio" bar end shiters from Bruceys earlier pdf catalogue. ..to show the choice...
