I have a campag equipped bike and need a cheap 10 speed wheel for the trainer to avoid changing the tyre out all the time.
Cant seem to find a cheap wheel with campag compatibility anywhere but hundreds of Shimano ones!
Can anyone suggest a solution? Thanks in advance

If you are anywhere near S Oxfordshire there is one in my workshop, no cassette or QR and with a replaced spoke. you are welcome to it , pick up only. If interested reply on the forum not pm.

presumably you don't need all the gears so it is easy enough to respace as many shimano sprockets as you need to match the campag gearing (which might be as few as a single sprocket) and use that.

Hmm sounds technical. Appreciate the post tho
Re: Cheap 10 speed Campag Spare Wheel for Turbo Trainer
its as 'technical' as cutting a shim out of a beer can and fitting it between two sprockets.
If you are happy to turbo train on just two or three sprockets you will be able to use those on a shimano cassette with no shims required. Some folk even run complete shimano cassettes on campag setups with no shims. I think the shifts are nowhere near as good as they could be but perhaps they are good enough; the difference in sprocket spacing is only a fraction of a millimetre.

When I ride on my rollers, I don't change gear.
I tend to be in 53/15 and leave it there.
92 gear inches.

Bike shops usually have old wheels with worn out rims, since you are riding indoors you don;t need to use very high pressure and even if the rim cracks the most you'll have is to scare your dog/cat/neighbours
It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best,
since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them.
Thus you remember them as they actually are...
