In answer to 1) the levers I linked to above (link again) should fit those bars. "Straight" bars (including swept back, as opposed to dropped) are usually 22.2mm diameter on the grip section.

By my reckoning, you would just need one set of identical levers on each set of bars. The cables can be released in seconds provided the brakes have QRs that give enough slack to disengage the outers. The inners simply slide out through the slots provided. (I'll try to get some photos later in the week.)

it is a Brompton, which means the brake calipers don't have barrel adjusters or any kind of slotted cable stop. Thus if the levers above are to be used then some inline barrel adjusters or something would be required.

There's a simple solution - just get another two identical bikes.

Hi

Can anyone clarify what the option of using an 'outer joiner' instead of a cable splitter is because i can't find any thing on google which is called an outer joiner ??
