Agreed that just a diagram would be useful but its not rocket science
I use this on one of my bikes quite succesfully.
so here goes
wrap rubber strip around fork then cut to size so there is no overlap
position hose clip around fork and over rubber and tighten until there is a 5mm gap on outside of fork
position tab between clip and rubber with tab facing up and out
Do not wrap the fork with tape etc for protection - the strip does that and won't grip securely over tape - been there, done that!
position the clip carefully so that it a) doesn't interfere with the rack and b) you can get to the drive screw easily
i found that setting a bolt up as a stud to mount the rack to works best so you access the nut on the outside of the rack mounting point - neat and secure.
