+1 - the saddle top should be pretty much parallel to the ground, any tilt over a couple of degrees would suggest the saddle is too high. And don't forget to wear the shoes/clothes you'll be riding in when you do adjust the saddle, a thick soled walking boot and a dress shoe could have an inch difference in effective leg length! Its not so crucial at the other end but you need to know your sit area will be comfortable.
