One dodgy shift ultegra 8000 11-28

Post by brucelee »

I've got one lazy upshift from the 14th to 15th sprocket and want to look into sourcing single sprockets in the UK cos of the price of cassettes at the moment. I'm guessing it's the 15 I want to replace. I know https://www.bike24.com/p2177354.html are doing the for £5 a pop so is there anyone in the UK doing this ? They don't ship to the UK. I could get years out of the bigger sprockets and I'm guessing they're more expensive than the ones that wear out anyway.
Cheers, Bruce.

Madison, the UK importer, have never imported single sprockets, as far as I know. (Or some of the more "practical" stuff as used on bikes for transport in other countries.)

Just had a look on aliexpress and they seem to have some. Not the ones I want unfortunately. Wonder if there are some other Chinese sellers doing this ?

Ultegra 8000 I looked up to find it is 11 speed. Miche make individual Shimano compatible sprockets, and one UK supplier is https://thecycleclinic.co.uk/collection ... -sprockets

From your link:
*These sprockets are not to be used in Shimano cassettes. They only give Shimano 11 speed spacing as part of a Miche cassette*
The older I get the more I’m inclined to act my shoe size, not my age.

Thanks for that. I've mixed and matched Miche and other manufacturers at 10 speed but I am nowhere near even thinking of 11 speed. The OP might buy Miche spacers as well and try it out. it might work well enough.

Sjs do Shimano individual cassette sprockets, I haven't looked through to see if they have an exact match, but they may have something that's close enough. Madison actually do have them too.

I looked at SJS, they have the dura ace stuff but at £16 a pop it's not worth it. Madison is pure B2B presumably.
