Replacement chainring for Trek Crossrip 1
I want to replace the large chainring on my son's Trek Crossrip 1. The crank is an FSA Vero Pro 48/32, 110 bcd and four bolts that drives a Shimano HG200, 11-32, 9 speed cassette. I cannot find an FSA replacement. Other makes that are 110 bcd and 48t all refer to being for 10 or 11 speeds. Not sure what I can fit and help and advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

Like this?
https://shop.fullspeedahead.com/en/cran ... o-crankset
And can't you source original aftermarket chainrings?
Info says 120 bcd.

Re: Replacement chainring for Trek Crossrip 1
Thanks for the reply. It is definitely 110 bcd 48/32 as that is printed on the original part. I was hoping to get just the large chainring rather than a complete set. All the sites I could find (not many) have this as being out of stock.

Re: Replacement chainring for Trek Crossrip 1
Does that mean that any make of four bolt 110 bcd 48/32 chainring that is advertised as being for 10 or 11 speeds will do or are there other considerations I am missing?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Kind of ...
People report cross compatibility between 9/10/11 chainrings.
What it often comes down to is buying and fitting chainrings and then seeing if they work. That siad, I am not aware of a huge number of four bolt 110 rings out there.
TA and Stronglight offer a wide range of aftermarket rings.

Many thanks. Do you think this could work? The existing inner ring shows little sign of wear. Would I need to replace this to match?

Maybe my eyes are wonky, but that chainring has offset holes and your chainset doesn't?

Good spot! It took me a while to work out what you meant and then I could see that the four leaves of the shamrock pattern in the middle would need to be the same size to work with mine!
I am beginning to think I won't find a replacement and should resort to reversing the chain ring until the opposite edge of the teeth also wear
Cheers

Maybe turn the chainring 90 degrees to share out the wear?

Re: Replacement chainring for Trek Crossrip 1
Been on the same journey with a friends bike.
As far as i could work out FSA was the only one to do 110 bcd 4 bolt with even spacing, on their Vero Pro, and K-light. Both have moved to other BCD now.
Further research suggested that the outer ring was prone to bending, exactly what has happend to my friends.
The closest i could find was 50/52t for £70 and opening up a can of worms on the FD.
I bent the chainring back into shape for now, and suggested a new crankset might be easier/cheaper.

Thanks for sharing that. I think a new crankset will probably be the way forward. Much appreciate the advice and suggestions from all that have posted.
