Can you paint clear over transfers so they last longer and so they don't peel.

Never have had a problem with new vinyl adhesive transfers, but you hear do of tales where certain lacquers will attack certain decals.

Could it be enthusiasm with too heavy application of the top coat clear.
We have a fan heater and it seems less affected by heat and small application of acrylic clear.
We were told should be ok, but no cellulose which Google saying old style paint.
Two pack look's dangerous from what we read.
Can you paint smaller coats and final wet shining top?
