Schimano Tiagra 4700 BB replacement

Post by Rroger_D »

Does anyone know if the current RS500 a replacement for the previous Tiagra 4700? I can't seem to find any of the latter in stock anywhere.
They are part of the Hollowtech II group.
Thanks

Yes it should be fine both hollwtech 2

The Shimano BB-RS500 bottom bracket is recommended for Hollowtech II compatible cranks with 24 mm axles from the Tiagra, Sora and GRX series as well as many other groupless models.

Yes but you may fine the new unit’s diameter for the tool is smaller.

I can’t get on with the plastic adapter Shimano supply.
