SRAM s7 hub

Post by Les »

Perhaps I am just unlucky but my 7 speed s7 hub as broken after 18 months having done about 5000 miles. As SRAM boast a 2 year warranty I have asked the selling shop to fix it under warranty that was two weeks ago. The shop are waiting for Fisher Srams uk agents to supply the parts. Am I unlucky or should I be looking to replace the hub? Les

Hi, have just had SRAM 7 hub replaced.
original hub was broken around the flanges
covering about six spoke holes each side.
no apparent damage to rim.
LBS flummoxed but replaced hub without quibble and are sending original back to manufacturers.
wouldnt have bothered if I hadnt seen topic posted thank you.

I am glad you got the hub replaced without trouble.

My bike is now back on the road and the repaired hub its doing its job again. Apart from the loss of use of the bike it did not cost anything SRAM picking up the bill. People who know say the SRAM hub is reliable so we may simply have been unlucky.
