These rapidly corrode sacrificially in the presence of water and/or salt due to galvanic effects and can result in the mudguards detaching from the bridges.

Worth checking before winter and sticking some waxoyl or other rustproofing over the rivet ends on the inside of the mudguards.

I swap them out on installation with dome headed S/S bolts,as I do stay bracket rivets.
