Pearl Izumi Waterproof Softshells

Postby rootes » 11 Nov 2009, 10:28am

I like Pearl Izumi stuff I have a few items of theirs, it seems well made and for a skinny stick boy they make stuff with sensible chest sizes and nice long arms..

tried both on and they fit nice even come with a nice under helmet hood thing..

anyone use one? how waterproof are they?

Shame don't see more PI stuff review - suppose that they have a bit of a roadie image?

I can't comment on the above tops but I have a PI cycling jacket. I picked it up 5 years ago and its been fantastic, very good quality. I use it for riding mostly but also wear it down the pub, walking the dog etc. It seemed pricey at the time (£75 in a sale) but its been an outstanding garment. Its looking a little tired now but I just can't bring myself to part with it.

This doesn't help in the slightest, but get the red one.
It looks really nice.
Get a medium and if you don't want it, I'll give you £20 for it.

So, that's a yes to my rather generous offer?
