Hi does or has anyone own one of these bikes I am looking guess for the holy grail as a bit of do everything bike and this seems to fit the bill somewhat. Any comments most welcome my budget is from 650 to 800 for this bike.

It is something of a jack of all trades. It's not as good on the road as a road bike, it's not as good off-road as a mountain bike, and it's not as good loaded up as a touring bike, but it will do all 3 (with a change of tyres for off-road) reasonably well, if you can only have one bike.

It's also quite a good spec for the money, especially if you can get one cheaper than RRP. Evans currently have the 2009 60cm Jake for £549.
