Bike clothing sizes - a moan about consistency

Post by profpointy »

Why oh why o why? - to keep to the traditional start of a moan, but i've had no end of trouble getting sensible size kit. For example, i have a genuinely superb pair of wiggle / DHB "finchdean" bib 3/4 length in medium size. Decided after a while to get another pair - so fair enough, they don't do that ine, but a different dhb model, after reading the words, went for large - but they're for a midget. So same brand medium in one item, but extra large in another. And no, i've not put n four stone - lost a stone if anything. In Assos stuff I'm extra extra large apparenlty - which is at least consistent, though as. 11-1/2 stone 6' bloke, hardly a sumo wrestler.

Anyone else get this hassle ?

Or even better, does anyone else around 6' tall who fits dhb finchdean medium know of something similarly sized ?

Cheeers all

I agree.

For normal clothing I am XL but bike wear is all XXL.
OK I like a slim fit for bike wear but my shoulders stay the same width.

Gore seem poor at this. Suspect sizing is based on Far Eastern countries.
