Shimano disc brakes

I'm considering upgrading my Shimano Deore cable disc brakes on my Mountain bike to Shimano XT M765 hydros. They are pretty cheap at the moment:

1. Would it just be a straight swap onto the existing fittings?

2. Will I notice an increased performance?
