np. he's not a powder coater btw. does resprays the traditional way, like Bob Jackson et al. He has a particular interest and expertise in vintage restorations but also does repairs and resprays on modern bikes.

In this circumstance, it's a small brazing job and nice colour matched enamel would be wanted. Cheers.

I've just had a motorcycle frame and myriad other parts done by Triple S in Bingley. Worth ringing and asking if they'll do a bicycle frame as they are absolutely first class - won't find a better company to entrust rare and expensive parts too.

+1. Chris has resprayed all my classics (stove enamelled) and he does work for many of the well known restorers. He will also do repairs, braze-ons, re-tapping, new forks etc. and his prices are reasonable. I believe that Ellis-Briggs don't actually do their own resprays any more (possibly sent to Jacksons like Woodrups) but I would be happy to be told otherwise. Like said above, only really contactable by 'phone.

I've had both Ellis Briggs and Jacksons replies to email with disclaimers about colour matching, so maybe I should call Mr Marshall soon and perhaps pop by with the forks to see what he thinks.
